Wear resistant steel is a type of steel that has excellent wear resistance through alloying, heat treatment, or special processes. Wear resistant steel is also known as quenched steel to obtain a hard martensitic microstructure. Due to the use of special alloys and heat treatment, they have excellent wear resistance, which can significantly extend the service life of machines and components, and significantly reduce the weight of equipment.

Wear resistant steel is classified according to its Brinell hardness unit (HB), ranging from 300HB to 600HB. The higher the hardness, the stronger the wear resistance, but the poorer the formability.

Core features:

The characteristics of wear-resistant steel are high hardness and strength, mainly used to withstand working environments with high friction, impact, or corrosive wear.

Strong hardness and wear resistance: The surface hardness can reach HRC58-62 (high chromium cast iron) or HB600 (alloy steel), and the wear resistance is 20-25 times higher than ordinary steel.

Impact resistance and toughness: Medium low alloy steel achieves a balance of strength and toughness through quenching and tempering processes, with an impact toughness of 15-30J/cm ², suitable for high impact scenarios such as excavator bucket teeth.

Corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance: Wear resistant steel containing molybdenum and vanadium can maintain its performance at 800 ℃; High chromium steel (chromium content ≥ 15%) has the ability to resist oxidation and corrosion.
