18\/8 stainless steel, 18\/8 refers to 18% chromium (Cr) and 8% nickel (Ni), is a food-grade material widely used in cookware, tableware and various kitchen appliances. It has a golden ratio of 18% chromium to 8% nickel, which creates the extraordinary comprehensive properties of 18\/8 stainless steel. Chromium forms a protective oxide layer to prevent rust and corrosion, while nickel enhances the strength and durability of the steel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most widely known and applied standard grade of 18\/8 stainless steel is AISI 304<\/span><\/a> (American standard) or SUS 304 (Japanese standard). In China, the corresponding common grades are 06Cr19Ni10 (new national standard) or 0Cr18Ni9 (old national standard).
