Galvanized steel (GI) are cold-rolled and hot-rolled coils coated with zinc to protect the steel from atmospheric corrosion. GI are successfully used in various industries that have strict requirements for corrosion resistance, durability, strength and appearance. GI can be formed or coated with various coatings, becoming a new hot-selling product. As: galvanized corrugated sheet, color-coated zinc coated coil (PPGI), etc. The main standards to be followed in the production of galvanized coils include: EN 10346 (Europe), ASTM A653 \/ A653M (USA), DSTU EN 10346 (Ukraine), GOST 14918\u221280 (Russia and CIS) and GOST R 52246\u221204 (Russia). Each manufacturer also has its own original standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The appearance color of galvanized steel<\/a> is dark, gray or light gray. After the steel is galvanizing, a pattern will appear on the surface, called glitter. This gives the metal a blotchy appearance, as if spots of different colours were scattered across the metal surface. This crystalline pattern can be seen in dark and light spots throughout the surface. This is in stark contrast to untreated steel, which is usually uniform in color and smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the process of galvanized steel?<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Common methods are hot galvanizing and cold galvanizing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hot dip galvanizing is to first pickling the steel parts, remove the iron oxide on the surface of the steel parts. Then clean the steel structure through ammonium chloride or zinc chloride aqueous solution or ammonium chloride and zinc chloride mixed aqueous solution tank. Finally put the steel structure to be derusted into the zinc liquid at about 500\u2103, so that the zinc layer is attached to the surface of the steel structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cold galvanizing, also known as electric galvanizing. It is the process of forming a uniform, dense and well-combined metal or alloy deposition layer on the surface of the workpiece by electrolysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
