201 stainless steel pipe belongs to the 200 series (compliant with ASTM/GB/JIS standards). Due to its high corrosion resistance and strength, it is widely used in structural and piping applications and has good polishing properties. This series of stainless steel pipes comes in a variety of sizes (outer diameter 6mm-2000mm). Compared with 300 series stainless steel, 201 stainless steel is more cost-effective and is therefore often used in industrial, environmental protection projects, and decorative applications.

201 is an austenitic stainless steel, but its biggest difference from 304 is that it uses manganese (Mn) and nitrogen (N) to partially replace nickel (Ni), which significantly reduces its cost, but also reduces its corrosion resistance.

Low cost: low nickel content → Price is typically 20%–40% cheaper than 304 stainless steel pipes, making it very budget-friendly for projects.
